OVERVIEW
We are looking for a dynamic web designer who will understand our business requirements and be responsible for the user experience and user interface design of our various digital assets using up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology. You will ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.
The successful candidate will evidence a passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to web design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients.
- Testing and improving the design of the website.
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
- Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
- Working with different content management systems.
- Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
- Work closely with a team of web developers to bring ideas to life.
REQUIREMENTS
- A relevant diploma/certification in a related field.
- Good understanding of content management systems.
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
- Works well in a team.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, and JavaScript will be an added advantage.
