OVERVIEW
The role is to manage and develop content for Data Science Nigeria and associated businesses/projects’ social media accounts, blogs, bulk emailing platforms and websites. The individual will manage the organization’s digital footprint, online mentions, press tracking, content proofreading and editing, and ensuring digital brand compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Management
- Manages all Data Science Nigeria and partner projects’ social media accounts;
- Manages social media calendars, tracking and identifying content and influencers;
- Works and supports the various dedicated social media or web teams on specific projects
- Stays up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications; and
- Develops and implements social media strategies.
Content Management
- Develops visually creative and engaging contents to communicate DSN’s key messages;
- Works with the various internal and external partners to develop relevant contents
- Provides input on strategy for content and distribution
- Tracks DSN news mention and develops monthly media summaries, with specific media monitoring around events and campaigns

REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years of professional and proven work experience as a social media manager
- Hands-on experience in developing web-based content
- Ability to conceptualize and develop creative content (text, image,video)
- Excellent writing and copywriting skills
- Familiarity with web design
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
- Proficiency in editing and writing, social media marketing (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Medium, LinkedIn, Youtube) etc.
- Oral and written communication skills and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret energy and communication related content.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
